MLB World Series Tied After Texas Rallies in the 9th to Win Game 2

The St. Louis Cardinals had a chance to take a significant 2-0 series lead heading to Texas had the Rangers not stepped up to the plate and caused some damage in the 9th inning. In a game that virtually simulated Game 1 from beginning to end, the Rangers decided to flip the script on the Cardinals late in the game by getting the most of St. Louis closer Jason Motte. Heading into the 9th with a 1-0 lead, Ian Kinsler contributed with an ugly leadoff single, he then stole 2nd base and was advanced to 3rd off Elvis Andrus' base hit. This paved the way for the reigning AL MVP Josh Hamilton who with 0 outs, sac flied to right field allowing Kinsler to reach home plate and tie the game at 1 apiece. Young then followed up with a sac fly of his own to centre field allowing Andrus to score the go ahead run. Neftali Feliz then closed out the game striking out 2 batters and forcing a fly out in the bottom of the 9th earning the save. The World Series now shifts to Texas, where the home crowd will be eagerly awaiting game 3 on Saturday night. The starting pitchers facing off will be St. Louis' Kyle Lohse against Texas' Matt Harrison for what is likely to be another close game as some of the big bats from both clubs have been relatively quiet. If you read my last World Series article, you'd know my money is on Texas, this has not changed, where do you stand?
