MLB World Series - Game 3 - Albert Pujols in Beast Mode

The 2011 MLB World Series shifted to Texas for a big Game 3 on Saturday. After a low scoring Game 1 and 2, the St. Louis Cardinal's lineup exploded for a massive win beating the Rangers 16-7. One of those players - who has received a ton of criticism so far in the series in none other than Albert Pujols, who apparently had heard enough media smack talk directed towards him and responded with one of the best World Series performances of all time. Pujols belted 3 home runs, drove in 6 runs, and had 5 hits, simply put he was in Beast Mode. He is now 1 of only 3 players to ever hit 3 homers in a World Series game, joining some good company in Reggie Jackson who did it in 1977, and Babe Ruth who did it twice in 1926 and 1928. Furthermore, each pitch he took for a ride over the wall was against a different pitcher. Why Texas didn't walk him after his first 2 home runs is beyond comprehension. Pujols also became the first player in World Series history to record a hit in 4 consecutive innings. Game 4 will be played tonight in what should be considered a must win for the Texas Rangers. On the pitching mound tonight is RHP Edwin Jackson for the Cardinals against LHP Derek Holland of the Texas Rangers who clinched their spot in the World Series after winning game 6 against TBay.
